There is very little to report today.
Jared is resting comfortably. His nurse Linda says the doctors conducted some routine tests today.
We had an opportunity to view this web site this morning and we both appreciate all your supportive comments.

Continued good thoughts and prayers,

Hey Guys!
Perhaps what you need most of right now is patience. It is something which very few of us seem to have enough of in this world of rushing. Slow and steady is how the tortoise beet the hare. We all are willing our love and support to you. And a very wise lady told me once that if friends offer to help -let them. So if there is anything that you need, there is a bunch of us who would fight over who could go first. It looks like you have the support of all of Nova Scotia and several scatterings in other areas. We all greatly appreciate this website and the time you take to keep us informed.
Wishing you a never ending supply of patience and hope.
Love, Mel
Thank you for keeping us all updated on Jared's progress. I check every day, several times a day to see how my Grade Four student is doing. I continue to pray for Jared and the family.
Gary & Jane, we continue to pray for you & Jared. We all send our support. We wish there was more that could be done except waiting. It is the hardest thing. Prayers continue from our church also. Thanks for posting news.
Jane & Gary,
The vigil before Christmas has left an indelible impression on me, like a tattoo, because it brought comfort to me in the recent loss of my own son, Mark. Through your loss, and your hope, I have realized just how connected we all are in this shared community of spirits.
And it must be strange, right now, your new world, where the sun sets and rises at the same time. Where hope and grief co-mingle, where the calm centre of the storm is the exact same place as the hurricane's fury.
We're pulling for your family. We pray for the storm to end, for the sun (son) to rise with a renewed warmth, and a light of restored peace.

I wanted to let you know that I check the site everyday for updates on Jared and to see how you and Jane are doing. Thoughts of you all are never far from my mind, and I pray that you feel the strength and love that is being sent your way. In my mind I see a large comforter that is encircling you, Jane and Jared like a hug, it comforts you and sustains you during these slow days as Jared heals.
Anything I can do to help just let me know.

Dear Gary and Jane...
It is part of our morning, and part of our night to check for updates, and in between of course, you are on our minds all the time. I can only imagine the patience that this is requiring of you now..the sunrises blend with the sunsets, and the day of the week or the date mean nothing, probably. The progress and healing now will take time. But we hope that every day brings a little progress. I am sure that I speak for so many when I say that we wish there was just something we could do. Certainly all you need to do is ask. Bob Ashley spoke so eloquently....when it comes to the things that matter the most, we are indeed a shared community of spirits. We hope that you can truly feel the strong web of support, and that somehow it helps. We wish you strengh, patience and peace.
Love from Ian and Cynthia, Juli and Matthew and their families.
Dear Jane , Gary and Jared,
