Had a good Saturday and it started at 7:40 a.m. I had breakfast in my room and then my T.A. came in. I went down to another floor to use the computer and checked this blog, facebook and my email account. I can only check the computer on Saturday and Sundays!

I would like to extend my thanks to everyone for their good wishes and best blessings!

Dear Jared
Hi there buddy-how are you doing down there in Halifax at the rehab centre??Great place to be as they are kind-energtic and boys do they push you to get the results they want..hehehehehe-BUT THAT IS POSITIVE for sure as you will out do all the other patients down there and you can show those nurses and rehab people what determination really means-keep it up Jared.Mike says that if anyone can do this(other than himself) it would be you and only you so keep up the great work you do every day to get you closer to home..we all miss you and wish you well every day/Give Mom and Dad a big hug for us all and tell them we love them too..

Much love and prayers

Hi Jared, You don't know me,but I have been posting for awhile,to your parents. Our son Alan, was in a terrible car accideent Apr./06. He to was in a coma for quite awhile, had a broken neck, which required surgery while he was still in a coma. He too was on 7-3 and then to the rehab. They will work you hard there, but the team is great.Your days will be busy for sure. Just remember to keep the positive attitude, you will have some rough days, but you are doing so well. Our son got back to work and is doing fine, and buy the way you are improving, you will be back home before you know it. The T.A's are cute aren't they, don't imagine you mind them helping out at all. Anyway just some words of incouragement, work hard but rest when you can. You will tier easy for awhile. Will continue to pray for you. Take care Ruth Dwyer Maccan

Wow man, I can't believe you're actually able to type. I wasn't sure we'd ever hear from the actual Jared ever again back when I first heard about the accident. Well it's good to see how far you've come along the road to recovery, that's incredible.

It's been years since we've actually hung out, I think there's some catching up needed.

Dear Jared,
What a wonderful surprise to see that you are on the computer today and letting everyone know how you are doing. I check this site first thing every morning and have been amazed with how well you're doing!!! I don't know if you remember me but I met you in November after the musical. You are such a spirited young man and I know that you will give it all you have in your recovery. So many people are pulling for you and your family - and are constantly in our prayers. (We have been lighting candles for you in any church we find in our travels.) Your family is an inspiration to us all.
